The development of the KAP Drêche never started with a material. It began with a sonic quest. Expressive, inspiring and deeply musical: from the very first chords, it reveals an instantly recognizable personality. Its natural balance and harmonic richness give depth to every chord. The solid Canadian cedar top, carefully selected, is paired with bracing specifically developed for the KAP project. Cedar is renowned for its warmth, harmonic richness and ability to express itself fully from the very first notes. The result: quick response, beautiful sonic depth, natural projection and a musicality that makes you want to play again and again.

Playing comfort and design

A sublime design with a compact body and shortened scale length, whose shapes and dimensions are derived from the "Dublin" model created by Fred Kopo. The body, though molded, respects the angles of a traditional guitar, allowing for easy playing whether sitting or standing. The bolt-on neck has been optimized to achieve a reliable process without any impact on the sound.

An innovative material: brewers' spent grain becomes music

To make an inspired guitar meeting the standards of artisanal lutherie accessible, Prodipe developed an unprecedented architecture combining a solid cedar top with a bio-sourced monocoque body designed specifically for this project. The KAP Drêche is made from brewers' spent grain (cereal residue after beer brewing), transformed using an innovative process. A material that combines acoustic performance, stability and environmental commitment.

A French adventure

The KAP Drêche is the result of a French collaboration bringing together multiple areas of expertise: lutherie and acoustics direction by Fred KOPO, project development by Prodipe, molded body in Brittany by MAHEVAS, design, manufacturing and assembly by Prodipe, AP22 electro-acoustic system under the direction of Ludovic LANEN, and original SAVAREZ strings. Each guitar is assembled, individually set up, inspected and prepared in Prodipe's workshops before shipping.

The AP22 electro-acoustic system

The Electro version features the exclusive AP22 system developed by Prodipe under the direction of sound engineer Ludovic LANEN. It combines a high-definition piezo pickup with two soundboard sensors capable of naturally reproducing the body's vibrations and resonances. Thanks to the exclusive Blend control, the musician can precisely adjust the balance between definition, warmth and naturalness. A particularly faithful sound reproduction, as convincing on stage as in the studio.

SAVAREZ: French excellence right down to the strings
