Beginnings with Damage Control Engineering
In 2004, Gregg Stock, an analog engineer, and Lucian Tu, an industrial designer, founded Damage Control Engineering. Their goal was to develop innovative effect pedals integrating high-voltage vacuum tubes and digital signal processing (DSP). Among their early creations were the Demonizer and Womanizer distortion pedals, which quickly caught the attention of musicians for their sound quality and unique design.
